Oh Yeah, Ninja Warrior
We've been getting a free preview of G4 - a channel with tech/comic/pr0n information geared toward the professional nerd. Greatest show so far - Ninja Warrior. It's like American Gladiator but with no gladiators trying to kill the contestants. Essentially, anyone can try to make it through the first of three courses that test balance, strength, endurance, dexterity, etc. Most of them crash and burn in the first round. The contestants that make it to the final rounds are amazing athletes.
The women's course is less a test of raw power and more geared toward balance and dexterity but still impressive. The first episode I've seen was awesome - they all come wearing the uniform of their vocation or predilection, like the postal worker, the cheerleader, the navy officer, and the cosplay butterfly.
Even though the show is in the original Japanese, the subtitles are hilarious and the energy of the announcer is totally engaging. Check it out!! Better yet, vote for the first American Ninjas!

Ninja Warrior has been a staple of my late-night video diet for a while. It is good... like a live-action video game.
i was sucked into a marathon one day. good stuff.
this has the makings of an imaginary ploop song.
Seen it, love it, but it's not the best show on tv.....anymore. That, my friend, is The Pickup Artist on VH1. 8 women-fearing social misfits get schooled by the master. It's every Maxim and Men's Health article come to life!! You squirm and root for these losers at the same time. Delish.
