Cleaning the Shirt
So, the magnificent powers of the Bears shirt were essentially removed yesterday, but so were the ripening smells. That's right, the shirt went in the hamper like the perfect season. I'm hoping that this performance will snap them out of their "complacency" and push them back to excellence.
That all said - I think Miami has been asleep and it figures that the game vs. the Bears would be their wakeup call. We didn't have the depth to cover the mistakes like we did with MN or AZ this week.
A few questions:
1. Why is Justin Gage still on the team? Can anyone remember a standout performance by him? What's up with Mark Bradley? What happened to Bertrand Berrian? (sic)
2. Why did Marty Booker look defiant against the Bears fans that loved him? I wished we never traded him before the game but now I'm not sure.
3. Is Urlacher really injured?
Word is that Strahan is injured but we're still on the road against a hot NY team. It seems like the Bears have followed a weak performance with a blowout game so I hope that trend continues. On the other hand, my shirt's streak ended at six games, so I can't guarantee any trends at this point. The "weak" schedule has become a considerable challenge.
Bears.
