This is Why I Worry
Didn't we just assure the world that we would NOT be doing stuff like this?
http://www.boingboing.net/2006/10/17/us_torture_bill_sign.html
Is this not a form of terrorism in itself? Could these tribunals and torture stations be used for a so-called "enemy combatant" that were extradited from the U.S.? Who determines the status of "enemy combatant" and is the criteria clear? Can we call someone an "enemy combatant" without a fair trial? Doesn't this bill preclude a fair trial? Are we saying that we're no longer advocating democracy in certain cases? This is one of the most arrogant moves yet.

"Didn't we say we weren't going to do this?"
Apparently that meant: 'We're going to make a law that says we can do this.'
Let's hear it for Authoritarianism, its lemmings and its sycophants!!
