A Little More Economy Talk
So now my company has announced further layoffs. Not in the same numbers as other companies, but it's still disconcerting. Here's a point, though. I realize that Obama has made mistakes with appointment choices so far, but considering all of the concern for his lack of experience during the election, this should be expected. And, with only one exception, the mistakes have been corrected.
Let's also not forget that if Daschle does not "forget" about paying taxes on income, he's uniquely situated to handle the post, according to lots of folks (not just Obama). So, it was a good choice, but a bad vetting process.
Anyhow, regarding the stimulus package, I've heard it referred to as a mortgage for future generations to carry. That may be true, but if it works as intended, those kids will be born, and won't have to tell stories about how they survived during the second depression.

IF it works as intended. Time will tell. Consider me skeptical.
