Veep Shoot

I don't remember hearing if Dick Cheney ever served in the military. I imagine he did not. Regardless, I wonder if the horrors of quail hunting have opened his eyes to the reality of war in any sense.

I've never understood how a bunch of priviledged old guys could see fit to send a wide range of young guys into war over a difference in opinion. Why not have a grudge match between leaders and call it a day? Why not elect our next president on the merits of his Ultimate Fighting skills?

I agree that the number of marines that likely died or were severely wounded on the same day as an ABC News correspondent should have gotten just as much air time. I also wish that none of them were there in the first place.
